While there are many students in the church we also have a huge variety of age groups and nationalities. Our Sunday meetings are friendly, lively, Spirit-filled and have intelligent bible-based preaching. We serve tea & coffee before the meeting and during the break half-way through. Midweek groups meet in homes for prayer and fellowship. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the music teams, youth activities, Alpha and various midweek groups. We work closely with other York churches and we are members of One Voice York, the York-wide coalition of evangelical churches. Students are warmly welcome here and every 2 weeks a household in the church open their home to groups of students for a free student lunch. We have also just launched a cafe-style meeting called The Gathering which has a greater focus on being community, greater participation by all, discussion during the meeting, coffee and Danish pastries. This takes place at our new Church office and additional meeting space on Lawrence Street (YEPC, First Floor, 47 Lawrence Street, York, YO10 3BU). The service at the school is continuing as normal.
